Should Christians Be Leaving America?

Good morning, and welcome to the One Sheep Podcast. I’m your co-host Frank Atwood. Today’s

podcast is about a video someone sent me on instagram yesterday to get my feedback on.

Coming up right after this…

I was a little shocked to receive a video in the chat on instagram yesterday.  I guess someone received it

and did not know if they should be worried or not.  The video was from a small YouTuber who has like

110 views.  The video opens with images of rioting and the usual recycled creative commons graphic

images.   The narrator starts out by telling the viewers that all the members of this group had dreams

that they should leave the United States. The video goes on to say how their team was able to get out of

the United States and across the Canadian, and Mexican boarders right as the country was closing down

for covid-19. They are a Bible prophecy ministry, and I do not put a lot of stock in Bible Prophecy.  I view

it as a modern day form of witch craft. They mentioned the beginning of sorrows due to the pestilence

of the covid-19.  They also tried to wrongly use the abomination of desolation mentioned in the Bible as

their reason for running away to other countries.  This is why I believe Bible Prophecy teaching is wrong.

I do not believe the Holy Spirit tells people to look for anagrams in the Hebrews texts. GOD is not the

author of cereal boxes and games. If you ever see these types of ministry’s they are usually on T.V.

Instead of sharing the Gospel, this ministry, or sect, likes to look for things that are not there.  Which will

always lead to taking scriptures out of context.  They say the Holy Spirit told them to get out of the

United States.  The Holy Spirit has said no such thing to me. If the Holy Spirit is guiding you, your actions

will be consistent with the scriptures.  The Holy Spirit is not going to go against himself.

What about Jesus’s command to Take up Your Cross? (Matthew 16:24-28; Mark 8:34-38; Luke 9:23-27)

Matthew 10:37-39

37He that loveth father or mother more than me is not worthy of me: and he that loveth son or daughter more than me is not worthy of me. 38And he that taketh not his cross, and followeth after me, is not worthy of me. 39He that findeth his life shall lose it: and he that loseth his life for my sake shall find it.

If you’re running off to Canada or Mexico are you trying to find, or save you earthly life? What good is

Running, if Tribulation will come upon the whole earth? Did they not read on in the same passage about

the reward of service in verse 40-42?

40He that receiveth you receiveth me, and he that receiveth me receiveth him that sent me. 41He that receiveth a prophet in the name of a prophet shall receive a prophet's reward; and he that receiveth a righteous man in the name of a righteous man shall receive a righteous man's reward. 42And whosoever shall give to drink unto one of these little ones a cup of cold water only in the name of a disciple, verily I say unto you, he shall in no wise lose his reward.

I think I said in another Podcast the Word of GOD is a two edged sword, it is timeless, and

It cuts both ways. It is not to be taken out of context, lest it cut you to pieces. If you’re a Bible

Prophet, or righteous man, and sharing the Gospel Message of GOD, you will be received as if GOD

himself were there sharing the message, and he that recieveth you will receive a Prophets reward,

salvation.  The other side of the sword is people who receive a false prophets message, will receive a

false prophets reward also.  Let us examine the passages they were afraid of.

7For nation shall rise against nation, and kingdom against kingdom: and there shall be famines, and pestilences, and earthquakes, in divers places. 8All these are the beginning of sorrows.

The video talks about the beginning of sorrows. Then they go on to mention the passages speaking of

The Abomination of Desolation

(Mark 13:14-23; Luke 21:20-24)

15When ye therefore shall see the abomination of desolation, spoken of by Daniel the prophet, stand in the holy place, (whoso readeth, let him understand:) 16Then let them which be in Judaea flee into the mountains: 17Let him which is on the housetop not come down to take any thing out of his house: 18Neither let him which is in the field return back to take his clothes.

Luke 21:20 describes the destruction of Jerusalem.

20And when ye shall see Jerusalem compassed with armies, then know that the desolation thereof is nigh. 21Then let them which are in Judaea flee to the mountains; and let them which are in the midst of it depart out; and let not them that are in the countries enter thereinto. 22For these be the days of vengeance, that all things which are written may be fulfilled.

They left the United States because of what they perceived to be a danger to their mortal lives. I guess

they were speed reading this passage. In verse 16 it says “Then let them which be in Judea flee into the

mountains:” Last time I checked Judea is in Israel, not the United States. The abomination of desolation

is when the anti-Christ sets up his throne in Jerusalem.

The video goes on to then say they set up groups to fight the global climate change agenda.  They

believe The climate change agenda is what will usher in the anti-Christ. So let me ask you a question.

Does this Sound like a faithful servant of Christ who is willing to preach and if necessary die for the

Gospel, Or does this sound like someone who is not only running for their earthly life, but is now fighting

for the life of the earth.  How does one go from sharing the Gospel of Jesus, to fighting against a

manufactured cause? They went from serving the creator, to serving the creation. This is what happens

when you look for stuff in the Bible that is not there.  What is your motivation for doing so?  Are you in

fact trying to save your earthly life, or as Jesus put it Luke 9:24 24 For whosoever will save his life shall

lose it: but whosoever will lose his life for my sake, the same shall save it.  We are not to have a spirit of

fear. Patience in Persecution 2 Timothy 1:7

7For God hath not given us the spirit of fear; but of power, and of love, and of a sound mind.

8Be not thou therefore ashamed of the testimony of our Lord, nor of me his prisoner: but be thou partaker of the afflictions of the gospel according to the power of God; 9Who hath saved us, and called us with an holy calling, not according to our works, but according to his own purpose and grace, which was given us in Christ Jesus before the world began, 10But is now made manifest by the appearing of our Saviour Jesus Christ, who hath abolished death, and hath brought life and immortality to light through the gospel: 11Whereunto I am appointed a preacher, and an apostle, and a teacher of the Gentiles. 12For the which cause I also suffer these things: nevertheless I am not ashamed: for I know whom I have believed, and am persuaded that he is able to keep that which I have committed unto him against that day.

When you have a spirit of fear, that is not the Holy Spirit; but a spirit from the enemy.  We are

commanded to Hold to Sound Teaching.

2 Timothy 1:13

13Hold fast the form of sound words, which thou hast heard of me, in faith and love which is in Christ Jesus. 14That good thing which was committed unto thee keep by the Holy Ghost which dwelleth in us.

If you have the Holy Ghost as Paul says. You will not live in fear for your life. You will not do your will,

but GOD’s will.

Look at Mark 13:11

11But when they shall lead you, and deliver you up, take no thought beforehand what ye shall speak, neither do ye premeditate: but whatsoever shall be given you in that hour, that speak ye: for it is not ye that speak, but the Holy Ghost.

If the Holy Ghost will give you your last words to speak, literally, what on earth made these people think

he would run away with them? In another one of my podcasts I explained how the fallen angels can

manipulate your dreams. I believe this is what happened here. If you really are saved and have the Holy

Spirit you will not live in fear. If you are living in fear, then you do not have the Holy Spirit, but a spirit of

fear.  In Galatians 5:22 we find the answer to this whole dilemma. 22 But the fruit of the spirit is love,

joy, peace, longsuffering, gentleness, goodness, faith, 23 meekness, temperance: against such there is

no law.  The Fruit of Which Spirit? The Holy Spirit, against such there is no law.  I pray you have or get

the Holy Spirit to guide you down the narrow path. If have you enjoyed todays podcast and or have a
